The Beatles Story
The Beatles Story is an unforgettable interactive experience, split over two sites on the Liverpool waterfront. Our Albert Dock home gives you the context and background to the Beatles, before charting stratospheric success through to the band's eventual break-up. Beatles Story Pier Head will thrill you with our interactive Fab4D experience and emotive special exhibitions space.

Our journey begins in wartime Liverpool, as Britain is battered by the Blitz and four lads who would later become the Beatles are born. You'll find out about the impact that rock ‘n' roll, Elvis, Buddy Holly and skiffle had on the teenagers, before heading off to the unlikely surroundings of Woolton Village Fete, where Paul McCartney recalls first meeting John Lennon. You can even see some of the original instruments played by John and his skiffle band, the Quarrymen before hanging out at the Casbah Coffee Club, Liverpool's coolest rock ‘n' roll joint.

Fast forward three years and you'll arrive in Germany, walking along the cobbled streets of Hamburg to watch John, Paul, George, Stuart and Pete play at the notorious Star Club.

A quick hop brings you back to Liverpool as you step into our detailed recreation of the Cavern Club - listen to Cavern regulars and soak up the special atmosphere of the most famous club in the world. London‘s the next stop with a behind-the-scenes look at Abbey Road Studios, before jetting off to the USA and the hysteria of Beatlemania.

After Beatlemania, there's time to chill out and relax in the mellow madness of the summer of love and discover the history of the groundbreaking Sgt. Pepper album, before embarking on an underwater adventure in our Yellow Submarine.

Beatles Story Albert Dock's tale ends with our Going Solo area, which showcases John, Paul, George and Ringo's solo careers and their ongoing legacy. You'll also find our moving White Room here, a tribute to the genius of John Lennon. Children and families can also stop to check out our exciting, interactive Discovery Zone.

It's just a quick walk or shuttle bus journey to our second site at the Beatles Story Pier Head, where you'll find our amazing Fab4D experience. This innovative and exciting adventure takes you on a magical multi-sensory journey through the music of the Beatles. You'll also find our current world-class Beatles-themed exhibition here - not to be missed in our second home.
