Elvis and Us
Based in the state-of-the-art Pier Head site, 'Elvis and Us' explores how the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll inspired the Beatles. Co-curated by Graceland and the Beatles Story, this stunning exhibition features dozens of rare and exclusive artifacts, many of which have never been publically displayed before.
Elvis Presley and The Beatles are united in a globally significant exhibition presented by Graceland and The Beatles Story. The exhibition is a multimedia, interactive experience filled with music, video and artifacts of both Elvis and The Beatles. This unique, first-of-its-kind exhibition allows visitors to experience the power of both Elvis and The Beatles, along with their explosive impact on music and popular culture.
One of the key elements explored in the 'Elvis and Us' exhibition is the evening Elvis and The Beatles met in person on August 27, 1965, at his home in Bel Air, California.
One of the centerpieces of the 'Elvis and Us' exhibition is the white Fender bass guitar played by Elvis and The Beatles at their meeting. A true piece of pop culture history that has never been on public display before.
Other artifacts being exhibited to the UK for the first time include the “Jailhouse Rock” shirt worn by Elvis in the film of the same name, a first album acetate, telegrams from The Colonel and Elvis to Ed Sullivan, rare video footage from the earliest days of Elvis’ career, and a ticket to the ’68 Comeback Special.
