Photographer and former model Pattie Boyd, who was famously married to both George Harrison and Eric Clapton, is set to visit The Beatles Story on 26th and 27th July, where she will be signing copies of her autobiography.
Members of the public will have a rare opportunity to meet the 60s style icon and view her photography exhibition ‘George, Eric and Me’ which is currently on display at The Beatles Story until October 2016.
The fascinating collection of images, on display until the autumn, features intimate portraits of the late Beatle George Harrison and Eric Clapton by the woman who shared both their lives.
The exhibition also includes candid photographs of the musical icons and their rock and roll star friends such as The Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood.
The spectacular photographs give a rare glimpse into the private lives of two of the most revered musicians of all time. To celebrate her status as a style icon, Pattie will also be adding showcasing five of her most stunning dresses to the exhibition.
Pattie said: “I am very excited about visiting The Beatles Story. It will be a real privilege for me to meet the people of Liverpool, who I know are renowned for both their music and fashion sense.
“I am thrilled at the prospect of meeting so many people who are interested my photographs and I am looking forward to telling the story behind the collection of images. I am extremely proud of the exhibition, which documents my life with George and my life with Eric, and incudes pictures that have never before been shown in the UK.”
Martin King, of The Beatles Story, said: “It’s a huge honour to welcome Pattie to The Beatles Story. She has had an absolutely fascinating life and the ‘George, Eric and Me’ exhibition documents that beautifully.
“I would urge fans of the 60s and 70s era to come along to the exhibition and to make the most of this rare opportunity to meet Pattie in person. We are truly honoured that Pattie has chosen The Beatles Story as the first place in the UK to exhibit this collection and we are delighted to have her with us.
“These photos are more than just icons in the frame, they are incredibly intimate and heartfelt – perhaps some of the most moving and intriguing in all Beatles and musical lore.”
