Workshops: Lotus Flowers and Rangoli art

To celebrate the launch of our new ‘Beatles in India’ exhibition we will be holding lots of exciting FREE family activities throughout 2018, starting in February with paper Lotus Flowers and Rangoli Art.

George Harrison would have turned 75 years old on 25th February 1968 and his favourite flower was the Lotus Flower. Come along to this workshop to make your own paper lotus flower for George, decorating it with various materials and then writing a birthday message on the back.

A Rangoli is a colourful Indian art design made on the floor near the entrance of a house to welcome guests, they are meant to bring good luck and the assorted designs are passed on through generations.

These workshops will take place in the Discovery Zone from 2pm at The Beatles Story, Albert Dock everyday for two weeks, Monday 12th February – Sunday 25th February (George’s Birthday). We will be displaying the artwork produced within our art area for guests to see.
