Elvis & Us Teacher Resource Pack now available to download
Elvis and Us has become one of Liverpool's leading tourist attractions since opening in October 2011 exploring the influence The King of Rock ‘n' Roll® had over The Beatles. The Education packs makes the link between the early days of the young Beatles, the influence that Elvis had and other music that was filtering into the UK, along with the social and economic changes of the era. There are three key points of the curriculum that teachers can focus on: Britain since 1945, John Lennon and the lives of famous people in history and the 1960's. Choosing the Beatles Story and the Elvis & Us exhibition really ticks the boxes for a school trip out that works with a schools scheme of work.
The Elvis and Us Resource pack is designed to provide teachers with insight into the educational opportunities that arise from the exhibition. These include History, Art, Music, Literacy and Geography There are a range of classroom activities within the pack that teachers can use and help to cover cross-curricular links between subjects.
