The Beatles Story scoops two awards

The very best businesses in Liverpool City Region's thriving Visitor Economy were honoured at the prestigious TMP Tourism Awards, which took place last week.

The Beatles Story were honoured to win two awards.

After significant expansion over the past two years the Beatles Story won the award for Large Visitor Attraction of the Year.

"Exemplary commitment to excellence and constant improvements. Excellent entry."

We were also very proud to receive the Tourism Marketing Project award for our Imagine Liverpool project, which promotes not only the Beatles Story, but also the Liverpool City Region encouraging tourism to Liverpool from across the globe.

"Excellent international marketing in terms of information and language. Ambitious and ground-breaking."

The Beatles Story will now go through to the England's Northwest Tourism Awards organised by the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) later this year, with the chance to represent the region in the national finals.

An independent panel of specialists undertook a comprehensive judging process to review the achievements of over 100 entrants from a wide variety of large and small tourism businesses. The second round of judging included a series of "mystery shop" visits to entrants in selected award categories.
