Gold medal winning choir sing at the Beatles Story

On June 26th the 'Aurin Girls’ Choir' came to The Beatles Story to celebrate their love for The Beatles and also to celebrate the 50th anniversary of John and Paul writing 'She Loves You'.

The Aurin Girls’ Choir have been described as the "best choir in the world", winning numerous 1st place' prizes over the past number of years as well as a winning two gold medals at the 'World Choir Olympics' in China in 2006.  The choir came to Liverpool during their UK tour and stopped at The Beatles Story as the choir and their conductor 'Duranyik Laszlo' are all huge admirers of The Beatles and their music.

The choir's visit to The Beatles Story coincided with the 50th anniversary of the composition of 'She Loves You' which was composed in a hotel room in Newcastle on the 26th June 1963 by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. 'She Loves You' went on to become The Beatles' biggest selling in the UK and was ranked by 'Rolling Stone' magazine at number 64 in their list of the '500 Greatest Songs of All Time'.

In total the Aurin Girls’ Choir sang three Beatles songs (‘She Loves You’, ‘Do You Want To Know a Secret’ and ‘Hello, Goodbye’) and two other songs in front of a large crowd and after singing, the choir came into our exhibition.
