Liverpool Giants: Excitement builds ahead of Giants Spectacle 2014
Liverpool is coming to life ahead of the anticipated Giants spectacle that has been two years in the making.
Locals and visitors will first welcome back the Little Girl and her not-so-small pet dog Xolo when they wake up and make their way around the city. Crowds will for the first time see the giant Grandmother of Liverpool when she wakes from her slumber at St George's Hall. The Grandmother will also lumber her way through the city towards Newsham Park where she will finally be able to take a well-deserved rest.
While the Grandmother rested peacefully at George's Hall, more than 40,000 people flocked to watch as she caught up on her beauty sleep ahead of the event.
Liverpool will face road closures across the weekend, find out more information here. It is also very important to note that the Beatles Story will be busier than usual and queueing times may be extended.
