About the attraction:
Your journey begins in the late '50s in the unlikely surroundings of Woolton Village Fete, where Paul McCartney tells you how he first met John Lennon. You can even view some of the original instruments played by John and his skiffle band. Then hang out at the Casbah Coffee Club, Liverpool's coolest rock 'n' roll joint.
Fast forward three years and you arrive in Germany, walking along the cobbled streets of Hamburg to watch John, Paul, George, Stuart and Pete play at the notorious Star Club.
A quick hop back to Liverpool and you step into our stunning recreation of the Cavern Club. Listen to Cavern regulars and soak up the special atmosphere of the most famous club in the world.
London is your next stop with a behind the scenes look at Abbey Road Studios, hearing how Sir George Martin almost rejected the Beatles before jetting off to the USA and the hysteria of Beatlemania.
Phew! Now chill out and relax in the mellow madness of the psychedelic era. Discover the history behind the groundbreaking Sgt. Pepper album before embarking on an underwater trip in the Yellow Submarine.
Then explore the break-up of the band, the role they played in the overthrow of the Soviet Union, their solo projects and the Beatles' everlasting and moving legacy...
Visitors can then enter our new expansion areas including our 'Going Solo' room which investigates each of John, Paul, George and Ringo's solo careers, our special exhibition space and our moving Imagine room; tribute to the life of John Lennon. Children and families can check out our new Discovery Zone!
If that wasn't enough the Beatles Story is now on two sites....
Once you have have experienced the magic of the Beatles at the Albert Dock, head over to our second home, Beatles Story Pier Head in the Mersey Ferry Terminal.
There you'll find our spectacular new exhibition White Feather: The Spirit of Lennon along with our amazing Fab4D Experience. A shuttle bus is available to take you to our new site which can also by reached on foot in only ten minutes!
