Accessibility

Our aim is to make the Beatles Story experience as uncomplicated and enjoyable for all visitors, regardless of disability or special needs and we're committed to continually improving access.

Both Beatles Story sites are fully accessible - there are lifts at the entrance to both the Albert Dock and Pier Head sites, and also lift access to our Fab4Stores for visitors wanting to avoid the steps. Fire regulations mean we can accommodate a maximum of five wheelchair users at any one time, so please call ahead before your visit.

Wheelchair

We're continually reviewing our access to improve the service we provide - our access plan is regularly updated and we provide ongoing training for Beatles Story team members.

The following easy-access measures are in place across all Beatles Story sites:

  • We promote positive attitudes towards disabled people
  • At least 50% of our team members have participated in a Disability Equality training course
  • We have new DDA compliant lifts at the entrances and exits
  • We're wheelchair friendly - wheelchairs are available on request
  • There are accessible toilets throughout both sites
  • We use tactile signage
  • Hearing loops are available
  • A transcript of our audio tour is also available in large print format
  • Complimentary tickets are available for companions of disabled people
  • We ensure priority emergency exit and refuge for disabled visitors
  • Our audio guide in a range of languages aids overseas guests and guests who have learning disabilities - it's also in a family friendly format
