The British Invasion officially opens at the Beatles Story, Pier Head
Revolution came to the Beatles Story, Pier Head as the Beatles Story opened their new exhibition The British Invasion: How 1960s beat groups conquered America with a unique launch event. The exhibition is curated by The GRAMMY Museum, The British Invasion is the first exhibition that the L.A. based team have bought to the UK.

Bob Santelli of The GRAMMY Museum said: "The Grammy Museum is excited to tell the story of the British Invasion of America in Liverpool, the city where it all started." The launch night brought many VIPs and press to Liverpool's brand new exhibition for a drinks reception, a tour of the exhibition and a surprise trip on a Mersey Ferry.

Aboard the ferry, guests of the launch event were treated to a performance by a band heavily featured in the exhibition, The Zombies. The Zombies were an integral part of the British invasion and received chart success on both side of the Atlantic with their singles She's Not There (1964), Tell Her No (1965) and Time Of The Season (1969). Martin King of the Beatles Story said: "The event was a huge success and it was fantastic to see so many turn out to view the new exhibit and meet The GRAMMY Museum team from L.A."
