Create your own ‘Blackbird’
Blackbird is a song written by Paul McCartney influenced by the Civil Rights Movement in America. Come to the Discovery Zone to listen to and learn more about the meaning of the song and reflect on it whilst making your very own bird.
Design your own Record Cover
The Beatles were inspired by many talented Black artists, such as, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Bo Diddley. You’ll hear their songs being played throughout the Discovery Zone today. Choose an artist and create a record sleeve for one of their songs.
Halloween!
Come and join us in the Discovery Zone this weekend to get involved in our Halloween celebrations! Get dressed up in our Beatles outfits and take part in our different crafty activities! Find inspiration from the 1964 Beatles fancy dress outfit in the exhibition and design your own Halloween themed outfits for the Beatles or create your own Beatles mask to use for your Halloween outfit!
Drop in any time between 11am and 3pm! The Beatles Story’s Discovery Zone is free to enter and is open every weekend and all school holidays from 11am – 3pm.
