Merseyrail's refurbishment team were shocked to find posters from the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s when working at Hamilton Square train station in Birkenhead, Wirral.

Searching - Workers looked for 'The Beatles'

The posters were found when refurbishment workers were removing walls from platforms at the Birkenhead station. Shortly after the posters were found, local railway heritage historians were brought to the scene to examine and take photographs.
