The Mersey Music Collective have, today, released a very special original song in support of Liverpool’s Zoe’s Place following a special launch event in The Beatles Story’s Fab4 Café yesterday.

The track features over 40 artists from the Merseyside region, including Peter Hooton (The Farm), TV Personalities Kate Robbins and Tricia Penrose, Anthony Russell (X-Factor Finalist), plus many more performers including The Devine Theatre Group Children’s Choir. The song, titled ‘Lighthouse,’ was revealed at a special event at The Beatles Story Museum on 5th June 2025, before being released to the public today on 6th June.

In attendance at the very special event were the artists, musicians, the new Lord Mayor of Liverpool Cllr Barbara Murray, the Deputy Lieutenant of Merseyside and the High Sheriff of Merseyside – as well as staff from Liverpool’s Zoe’s Place.

Guests were among the very first people to see the charity music video.

Lighthouse was written by Angela Inkson, Tony Cook and Chris Hollis. The video for the song was produced by Liverpool Film Studios. Renowned Merseyside artist Paul Curtis, who created The Beatles Story’s Abbey Road 50 mural in the Baltic Triangle, designed the artwork for the single.

All corners of this project, from the songwriters, producers, musicians and artists are from the bedrock of the city.
