Ringo Starr fans, “come together” for the legendary Beatle’s latest book, Beats & Threads! This landmark hardcover book chronicles Ringo’s legendary drum kits and era-defining fashions throughout his illustrious career as a drummer, Beatle, and solo musician. Beats & Threads provides exclusive insight into Ringo’s many drum kits and fashion pieces with more than 300 stunning photographs and personal accounts from Ringo Starr himself, with contributions from co-author and Ringo Starr drum curator Gary Astridge.

Previously, the book was only sold through the publishing arm of Julien’s Auctions, the well-known auction house specialising in pop culture memorabilia. But you can now pick up a copy in person in The Fab4 Store at The Beatles Story, Royal Albert Dock! 20% of proceeds from us will go to The Lotus Foundation, Ringo’s charity supporting a variety of social welfare causes.

Back in November 2025, The Beatles Story hosted an online live discussion and Q&A between Gary Astridge and Julien’s Auctions‘ Arsalan Mohammad, where they discussed the fascinating backstories behind Ringo’s most prized items, including his beloved Oyster Black Pearl kit that became synonymous with The Beatles’ image and his iconic Sgt. Pepper’s suit.
