Photographer and former model Pattie Boyd, who was famously married to both George Harrison and Eric Clapton, visited The Beatles Story today.
The 60s style icon took time to meet with fans and unveiled two outfits that will now go on display as part of her ‘George, Eric and Me’ exhibition.

One of the outfits, a jacket and short skirt, was made especially for Pattie by The Fool, while she bought the other outfit, a floaty Thea Porter dress, while in Italy on an Italian Vogue shoot in 1970.
Both outfits now join the exhibition, which features intimate portraits of the late Beatle George Harrison and Eric Clapton by the woman who shared both of their lives.

The fascinating collection also includes candid photographs of the musical icons and their rock’n’roll star friends such as The Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood.
‘George, Eric and Me’ is on display at The Beatles Story, Pier Head until October 2016.

Pattie said: “The exhibition looks fabulous. Each picture tells a story and the whole collection really does give a glimpse into my life with George and my life with Eric. The exhibition also includes pictures that have never before been shown in the UK.
“I am delighted with the exhibition, which is complemented by the natural light that floods into the exhibition space at The Beatles Story. It’s been a real honour to show my work here and to add these two special outfits, which will be on display for the remainder of the exhibition.”

Martin King, of The Beatles Story, said: “It’s a huge honour to welcome Pattie to The Beatles Story. She has had an absolutely fascinating life and the ‘George, Eric and Me’ exhibition documents that beautifully.
“I would urge fans of the 60s and 70s era to come along to the exhibition. We are truly honoured that Pattie has chosen The Beatles Story as the first place in the UK to exhibit this collection and we are delighted to have her with us.
