The Beatles Story’s special exhibition ‘The British Invasion: How 1960s beat groups conquered America’ is scheduled to close permanently on 31st December 2017.
The temporary exhibition, co-curated by the GRAMMY Museum in L.A, opened in October 2014 and teaches visitors about the wave of British artists that took over the Billboard Top 100 in the 1960s and 1970s.
Featuring memorabilia that has never been seen outside of the USA and photographs of bands such as The Rolling Stones that have never been seen before worldwide, this exhibition based at the Pier Head is a must-see for all music fans.
Other highlights include a set of Supremes dresses, a James Brown jumpsuit, BB King's "Lucille" Gibson, The Beach Boys’ handwritten "God Only Knows" lyrics and Keith Moon's “Tommy” drum kit.
Visitors can also enjoy a number of interactive experiences, including an exclusive drum lesson from none other than Ringo Starr.
Entry to ‘The British Invasion: How 1960s beat groups conquered America’ is included within all tickets to The Beatles Story, Liverpool.
