Comic Con: film stars visit The Beatles Story

It was a busy weekend for The Beatles Story as fans and special guests of Liverpool’s Comic Con visited the award-winning attraction, to learn more about the Fab Four.

American actor Dean Cain, who is best known for playing the role of Clark Kent/Superman in the TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, was amongst those in attendance.

Dean is an avid music fan and enjoyed his tour of the exhibition. He even recorded a personal video message to his son whilst in the ‘Imagine’ White Room, saying “Hey Chris look where I am, and your favourite song is playing, this is so cool!”

When asked about his visit, Dean said: “It’s my first visit to Liverpool and I like The Beatles but my son, Christopher who’s 18, plays John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ on the piano all the time and he’s a huge fan. He would absolutely love to come here and see all this.

“If Superman was a Beatle then I think he would be Paul. I love listening to all genres of music from Rap to Metal, especially Rap as I play American Football and that’s our motivational music.”

Eric Roberts, famed for his appearances in King of the Gypsies, the Dark Knight and The Expendables also visited the attraction. Eric is Brother to Julia and Lisa Roberts, and father to Emma Roberts who also have successful acting careers. He has over 500 film credits and has received several Golden Globe nominations.

Eric said: “I’ve never been to Liverpool before and this place is incredible! I didn’t realise such a gem of a place existed and there’s so much to take in here.

“My wife is a huge, huge John Lennon fan and she would absolutely love this place, but I’d say I’m more of a Paul fan myself. He’s such an amazing musician.

“I’ve met both Paul and Ringo quite a few times. Ringo gets better with age, he looks so amazing, he’s the better looking one now.

“Who doesn’t love The Beatles? Looking at these screaming fans here who will all be grandparents now, but I bet their kids all know about them too, which is why they’re always going to be popular.”
