Mary Chadwick: Familiar face to take on senior position at The Beatles Story

The Beatles Story has appointed a familiar face to step into its key senior position.  Mary Chadwick, who in 2019 celebrated 25 years of working at The Beatles Story, has been promoted to General Manager of the leading, award-winning Liverpool City Region attraction.

Born and raised in Liverpool, with a strong passion for the city, Mary has worked in a number of roles for the popular visitor attraction over those 25 years, so is well placed to lead the attraction to further success.

The Beatles Story has seen considerable growth, particularly over the last 10 years with record numbers of visitors from all corners of the world.  The leading Beatles exhibition has received numerous top awards to showcase this success and continues to grow as a must do for visitors to our city region.

Mary, who is delighted to take on the role after the departure of Martin King, who retired from The Beatles Story in December, said:

“The Beatles Story has been a huge part of my life and career and over the 25 years working here I have seen it grow substantially in visitor numbers, quality and worldwide reputation as a leading attraction. Our ongoing commitment to re-invest in the attraction is paying dividends for our region. The majority of our visitors are travelling to us from abroad and The Beatles Story is seen as a must-see destination on their bucket list.

"I am very lucky to have a great team behind me who work extremely hard to ensure that all our visitors receive a warm, Liverpool welcome and I’m excited to build on this success to date and take our attraction to the next level.  As we celebrate our 30th anniversary in 2020, we have exciting times ahead and I’m looking forward to the challenge.

Mary takes on the role from immediate effect as the award-winning attraction is set to announce an exciting 30th anniversary year activity plan which includes events, new upgrades and additions to its unique, immersive exhibition telling the story about the world’s greatest band, The Beatles.
