Hundreds of free Beatles Story tickets up for grabs for Merseyside residents this Global Beatles Day
The Beatles Story Museum plans free exclusive evening event for local community at Royal Albert Dock
280 free tickets are being made available exclusively to Merseyside residents as The Beatles Story prepares to host a special after-hours event this Global Beatles Day.
Taking place on the evening of Global Beatles Day on 25th June, the free Global Beatles Night event will offer local people a unique opportunity to experience the award-winning attraction after hours, celebrating Liverpool’s musical heritage in the city where it all began.
What’s on offer
Selected guests will be invited to attend an exclusive evening event at The Beatles Story, Royal Albert Dock, featuring:
- A bespoke after-hours evening event
- Expert-led talks at key areas in the exhibition
- Live music performances and refreshments
- Beatles prizes up for grabs
The event has been designed to give back to the local community, offering a more intimate and immersive experience than a standard daytime visit.
Tickets for Global Beatles Night will be allocated via a free public ballot, open exclusively to those living in the Merseyside area. Residents can apply online by submitting their postcode here, with successful applicants selected at random. Each winner will receive two tickets to attend the event.
Applications will close at 23:59 on 21st June, with winners notified shortly after via email.
What is Global Beatles Day?
Now officially recognised by Apple Corp, Global Beatles Day is a love letter from the world to The Beatles and was founded by Faith Cohen in 2009 to honour their enduring legacy.
Celebrated annually on 25th June, the worldwide occasion marks the anniversary of the first live global satellite broadcast, during which The Beatles brought the world together through their performance of “All You Need Is Love.”
Alongside the evening event, The Beatles Story will also mark Global Beatles Day with free daytime celebrations in the Fab4 Café at the Royal Albert Dock, where visitors can enjoy live music, interactive Beatles-themed experiences, prize giveaways and limited-edition food and drink specials throughout the day. The drop-in event is open to all, with no pre-booking required.
The Beatles Story’s Global Beatles Day events form part of the attraction’s wider commitment to the Liverpool community. This also includes the In My Life Memory Café, a regular initiative designed for people living with dementia and their carers, offering a welcoming space where music helps unlock memories and spark connection.
25th June also happens to be the first day of the UK Government’s Great British Summer Savings initiative, offering families cheaper tickets to attractions, including The Beatles Story, throughout the summer months.
With free community events and reduced museum entry, alongside being named England’s best attraction for International Tourists for the second year in a row at the VisitEngland awards, there is no better time to visit The Beatles Story Museum.
