Liverpool FC and Scotland international footballer Andy Robertson visited The Beatles Story this week, filming for a very special edition of MOTDx with Liverpool-born women’s footballer and musician Chelcee Grimes.
Born in Glasgow Andy signed for Liverpool FC from Hull City in 2017 and has since appeared in successive UEFA Champions League finals in his first two seasons. The defender was part of Liverpool’s Champions League-winning team last season and was named in the PFA Team of the Year.
Chelcee Grimes, who was interviewing Andy for MOTDx, is a British singer and songwriter from Aigburth, Liverpool and a footballer currently playing for Fulham Ladies. Chelcee has written songs for The Saturdays, Kesha, Dua Lipa and Kylie Minogue, and at the age of 18 shared the stage with Jessie J. at Liverpool's Cavern Club.
As a footballer Chelcee has previously played professionally for Merseyside teams Liverpool FC, Everton FC and Tranmere Rovers. She spent the day with Andy showing him around her hometown, taking him to just some of the places that have shaped her both in music and in football.
